Test of integrity of filters and sealing locations by ISO 14644-3

The test is carried out by two methods:

  1. the method using the particle counter and the cold aerosol generator and
  2. a method of using a photometer.

1. method

Method using the particle counter and the cold aerosol generator

With the cold generator we supply the particles in front of the filter. First we measure the input concentration of particles, then we specify the number of particles behind the filter. The frame and the entire surface is scaned with isokinetic test probe. The measurement time is adjusted depending on the dimensions of the filter, diameter of the probe and the required maximum scanning speed and is rounded off to whole minutes. If there is too much particles passing through the filter, we need to improve the fit of the filter, eliminate a critical leaks or replace the filter with a new one.

We use measuring equipment from renowned manufacturers Lighthouse, TS, Topas.

All instruments are calibrated annually.

2. method

Method using a photometer

In front of the filter we supply particles, which are generated by hot generator. The amount of particles in front of the filter must be within prescribed limits. In accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, we prepare and calibrate the photometer. We scan the filter frame, and then the entire surface of the filter with isokinetic test probe. In certain cases, (HEPA filters installed in ducts, HVAC systems) scanning the filters is not possible. In these cases, we perform measurement for the filters at individual points on the clean side in the duct.

We use measuring equipment from renowned manufacturers ATI.

All instruments are calibrated annually.
